WhereIsIt? is an application written for 32-bit Windows operating systems, designed to help you maintain and organize a catalog of your computer media collection, including CD-ROMs, audio CDs, diskettes, removable drives, hard drives, network drives, DVDs, or any other media that Windows can access as a drive. The most basic goal for WhereIsIt is to provide access to the contents of any media you have from a cataloged database, even if the media itself is not available on the system - you can browse lists of files and folders, search by any criteria, use descriptions, thumbnails, categories, flags, etc.

This plugin takes advantage of available Windows shell interfaces, which can be extended with third-party thumbnail providers for additional file types. The plugin offers WhereIsIt the same kind of access to generating thumbnails as Explorer has, and is able to use already cached thumbnails (Thumbs.db files) for better performance. Plugins debugging mode has been updated a bit, it now falls back to a secondary location for creating a log file if programs folder is not writeable to current user, and now always reports the exact location of the log file at startup. Improved robustness of the JPEG description plugin when dealing with certain type of invalid/corrupted JPG files. Configuration dialogs for several different plugins have been updated to work around a problem with edit control when running on 64-bit versions of Windows. Collectorz.com Movie Collector is a program that helps you catalog your collection of DVDs, VHS tapes, laserdiscs, etc...
Adding items to the movie database is quick and easy, just type the movie title or scan the DVD barcode with your barcode scanner.
Movie Collector will automatically download all data (director, producer, genre, studio, etc... including an actor list and the cover images). The information is retrieved from various movie database sites on the internet (like the Internet Movie Database, the AllMovieGuide movie database, the Amazon DVD catalog or DVD Empire).
